Once Fallen: Angel Feather’s Ascension to Glory

The fallen angels are now seeing a great lineup of new cards. However, is this enough for the clan to reclaim its throne on the top of the tier list? Heaven doesn’t have to be the only one who knows.

Angel Feather has been one of the clans that received varying opinions from the cardfighting public. While others argue that the Angel Feather with the amount of heals it receives can be quite the defensive powerhouse, others argue that the lack of a more consistent offensive support makes it difficult to reach the point where a strong finisher like Mobile Hospital is even relevant.

In the first release of Angel Feather, cardfighters were extremely amused by the skill of Metatron which allowed the user to heal one card for a virtually free cost. This made it a favorite pick among competitive players. And as much as the clan wanted the attention it was getting, upcoming support in the form of multi-attacking clans such as Great Nature and Dimension Police made healing pretty much a useless mechanic.

The second set which featured Angel Feather was the one where the clan received the final nail in the coffin. A poorly designed mechanic which helped opponents counter-charge was a game-breaker for sure… just on the WRONG side. After all, you should be beating your opponent not helping them gain more resources.

Now at long last, with the arrival of V Extra Booster 13: The Astral Force, a silver-lining has shown itself from the skies. Angel Feather finally had a revamp of its mechanics with even more superior calls, high-powered lane, and an absolute damage which can only be compared to pre-nerf Dust. (a card so strong the sheer number of complaints re-structured the card’s ability before release).

Even though it’s still a while before we see the Angels in action, it is safe to say that we can expect them to be a formidable foe. It might look great on paper but what’s important is its performance on the field. Do not underestimate the clan by taking too many damage early on lest you want to feel the wrath of the Arch-Raider.
