With the upcoming new extra booster set, V-EB12 Team Dragon’s Vanity looming right around the corner, a lot of people are extremely excited to see how the new support will affect the current fishy meta.

Aside from having the coolest box art and featured clans, this monster of a set also includes an intimidating line up of support for Narukami, Aqua Force, and Shadow Paladin. But the question still stands, which of these clans will stand out the most in the coming months.

To kick things off, let’s start with the orange guy because we always know the orange guy has the most potential. Ryoutarou Oyama uses Narukami and has a fearsome VR card in Dragonic Vanquisher.

Narukami isn’t really underwhelming in the current meta and thrives in an accel dominated environment. Even still, the additional support will definitely upgrade Narukami’s potential by combining field control with massive lanes and multi-attacks.

One problem all accel clans are constantly facing is the fact that defensive triggers shut-down entire turns completely. With Vanquisher’s ability to give a continuous +10000 power throughout the turn, Narukami players won’t need to worry about that. Additionally, most of the cards also give themselves power bonuses which will help give a significant amount of breathing room.

Cards like Rising Phoenix and Cho-Ou work well with the amount of bind Narukami has both in the main phase and battle phase to increase the number of battles with the presence of that sweet +10000 power boost from Vanquisher’s ability.

Next on the list is our the Master Commander of Redundant Titles himself, Ryuga Kaizu. His support includes the water lizards of Aqua Force and Last Card, Revonn.

As an accel clan as well, Aqua Force’s main problem was that despite having an incredible amount of attacks in one turn, one defensive trigger often shuts down the Aqua Force’s turn completely. Having a semi-Shirayuki like ability, this card will ensure that all the rear-guards’ attacks will have a better chance of going through. The vanguard won’t have to do all the work though as even the rear-guards themselves gain power if a certain number of rear-guards are at rest.

Another thing to note is that if you’re not a fan of the new support and want your favorite Blue Dragon, Maelstrom to have better support instead then you’ll be happy with what this set has. Press Stream Dragon is more than enough support Maelstrom needs right now, being able to give that extra drive will increase the chances to draw that game-winning Front Trigger.

Last but not the least, we have our most forgettable shadow paladin unit who’s probably going to be replaced by Luard again. Oh, and Kanzaki… Weakness is a sin.

In a desperate attempt to stay relevant, Claret Sword Dragon features a mechanic where it counts the number of Grade 1 units in the drop zone to activate certain abilities (sound familiar?). Jokes aside, as if Shadow’s rear-guards weren’t already big enough in the previous iteration, they decided to make them bigger and more powerful.

With a lot of cards being able to mill the deck (because what clan isn’t Granblue), Shadow Paladin is able to fulfill these requirements easily. Being able to mill the desired amount of grade 1 units pre-grade 3 ensures the devastating turns to come.

This set will surely bring a lot of strong clans back on the competitive stage. Investing your money on this set won’t be a waste of time as these cards are definitely here for the long-run. However, make sure that these intimidating looking dragons and dark-lords aren’t caught staring at that fearsome blonde fish.
