Perhaps the wildest of the wild card clans, these biologically deformed animals have been surprising cardfighters around the globe by appearing often in the tournament scene. However, you’d be surprised that the chances of Great Nature toppling the meta every now and then isn’t actually as slim as winning the lottery.

It’s true, Great Nature isn’t one of the more consistent clans out there. Especially so with a mechanic called “lottery” which just shows off its features like how Esuka shows off her… well, you get the idea. But, believe it or not, the lottery mechanic isn’t actually as bad as other clan mechanics (looking at you Divine Gauge).

This is due to the fact that Great Nature’s card abilities which depend on what you draw on the lottery are all great. In fact, with the addition of Holy Great Sage of why do great nature units have such long names, Isabelle, being able to use both of the lottery abilities just give you that insane power spike that gives you a huge advantage in the mid-game.

Despite this, Great Nature’s problem with the lottery skill still stands. In order to ensure that both lottery skills are active, Isabelle needs to remain on the Vanguard Circle which wastes a potential Leopald turn to fill up the board. Another thing is that Isabelle is absolutely underwhelming if ridden while the opponent is still at Grade 2. Having need so many cards to complete a setup make it less formidable than other clans which only need 1 or 2 cards to perform a chain of abilities.

Overall, Great Nature is a great wildcard clan. It can be a competitive deck in the right hands of a great player. Playing this clan will require you to have a lot of patience especially if the lottery abilities don’t go the way you want them to. Or you can play this clan if you belong to that certain demographic that is very passionate about animals in all the wrong ways.
