While it’s true that Riviere is still quite strong, it stopped being THE only Bermuda deck to play. Riviere’s relevance in the meta has significantly dropped to the point that the other archetypes have a chance to shine in the meta.

Child Star, Pacifica – The law doesn’t apply to cardboard

Pacifica isn’t just a top choice among FBI’s most wanted, she’s also a top competitor in the Bermuda’s competitive lineup. Pacifica has a unique mechanic where she gains specific skills depending on the amount of Pacifica you have on the field at the time of activation.

While you might think that getting all 4 Pacificas in hand is a difficult task to do, the deck offers a lot of searchers that can help get copies of Pacifica from literally anywhere in the game. This ensures that Pacifica is always attacking with a guard restriction and a fish ton of Force markers.

Legal Star, Coral – Big circles with crit win games

Coral can finally stop being the soul-charge utility card for the other Bermuda Triangle archetypes and have her own time on the stage. The coral deck features a very nice beatdown mechanic, having access to big early game lanes and a mid game crit barrage combo.

While this clan doesn’t have one card combo’s which fill up the field, the clan doesn’t have to rely on anything other than its ability to generate high-lanes with crit every turn which locks down counterblast generation for those who aren’t brave enough to pray for a heal.

Colorful Pastorale Melody – Coming back with style

Melody decks were the absolute deck back when they were released in Bermuda’s first booster in V-EB05: Primary Melody However, like Riviere, it was too strong and had to face Daddy Bushiroad’s whip of discipline by giving a choice restriction between Sonata and Liselotte.

Now that the restriction has been lifted up once again, there’s very little that needs changing with the Melody deck. On the other hand, having Grade 2 Melody units in Sonata might make the deck even more formidable than it was before. After all, who doesn’t want a full VR deck?

HLD48 – Let memes become dreams

Cardfight! Vanguard’s version of a highlander deck was received as something between the lines of a meme deck. While people saw the potential of the deck’s strength on paper, it was simply too inconsistent most of the time.

Right now, it’s still difficult to see where this deck is in the meta or how exactly it’ll compete against other Bermuda archetypes. However, we know that somewhere, somehow a skilled Bermuda enthusiast, shopkeeper, and cat-lover is building a deck that will break the formula and the meta itself.

With the option of playing an enumerable number of deck combinations using the vast card pool Bermuda Triangle has right now, do you think that one of the other decks will tier higher than Riviere?
