V-EB12 Team Dragon’s Vanity is finally out and we will be seeing some new decks that will probably make us salty about our unsupported clans. Well, if you’re here then you’re probably an Aqua Force player anyway.

Why you should play this deck?
The deck offers a high kill chance with the ability to generate a full field and a small but notable chance to generate 6 attacks even at the Grade 1 turn. It is also relatively cheap and easy to build. Also, because I told you so.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
1. Can easily generate hand cards
2. Difficult to shut down with 1 defensive trigger
3. Chance for turn 1 meme OTK
4. Rush decks can beat any deck if the hand-cards are right and the triggers are not against you
Cons:
1. Narukami is meta
2. This is not Narukami
3. Force match-ups can pose a challenge especially if going 2nd
4. Easy to over-rely on Heal triggers
5. Will mostly G-Assist at Grade 3

Gameplay and Mechanics
The Overview

As much as you’d think that this deck would be a heavily Heal-centric deck with a Blue Wing core, that’s not really the case. The blue wing core is to abuse Basilia’s ability to generate hand power which allows it to call an armada of rear-guards. With only 4 Heal triggers in the deck, trying to center your gameplay around ONLY, AND I MEAN ONLY this mechanic would be a waste.
Follow the Aqua Force creed: “Call Rear-guards and attack until I can’t attack no more” which is something I, a non-AqF player, made up.
The Blue Wing rear-guards are perfect for Revonn’s ability which requires it to be the last unit to attack (yes, I know that’s not the exact ability). A sudden Heal trigger will definitely tilt the game in your favor.
The Early Game

Focus on giving early game pressure by creating 14-16k lanes with grade 1 units which will become high-value targets for your defensive turn. While we did say that you shouldn’t over-rely on heals, that doesn’t mean you’ll stop praying to get one on your drive check.
Riding Simeon will give you the defensive capability against a counter-rush tactic where your opponent will either attack your rear-guards or use up their hand to reach 11k. This should prompt you to push even more with Basilia ability to refresh your hand-cards.
The Grade 3 Turns that Follow

Now after you get to Grade 3, where you probably G-Assisted to get the Grade 3, the deck truly starts to shine. Thanks to Revonn’s ability to give -5000 power, those 7k and 14k lanes do wonders against non-Force clans.
Put down as much rear-guards as you can to push for the sweet spot 4-5 damage counter on the opponent. I don’t need to tell you that you’re going to need with EVERY rear guard first before you hit with Revonn. The extra drive check gives you a higher chance to draw that luscious heal trigger.

Choosing your Accel Markers

What? Accel 1 vs Accel 2? Well, I don’t exactly know why you wouldn’t choose Accel 2 in the first place. However, if you manage to push your opponent to 4 or 5 then maybe an Accel 1 play might be warranted… but if you do choose Accel 1 it better be that Signed Kourin marker.
What happens if I don’t get Revonn, I get all triggers in hand, or Basilia doesn’t get anything?
Well, what’cha thinks gonna happen, chief? That’s Standard-format Vanguard, my friend. Might as well try to win the next one. That’s all and thank you for your click!

Is it okay to fun 4 front instead? Will it affect the game greatly?

Unfortunately, Front triggers will not benefit this deck since all the Rear-Guards will be rested before the Vanguard does its drive check.
